Privacy
Your PDFs stay on your device
sorter reads, shows and writes your PDFs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, not even temporarily. Saving the result also happens in your browser.
So you can continue where you left off, sorter keeps your work in your browser's storage (IndexedDB) on this device: the PDFs you add, how your documents are arranged, and the preview images. It goes nowhere else.
"Clear everything" in sorter removes it all. Clearing the site data of sorter.vectel.app in your browser removes it too.
sorter never saves passwords of protected PDFs. A protected PDF is kept as it was, with its protection. After restoring, sorter asks for the password again.
No account, cookies or analytics
You don't need an account. sorter sets no cookies and collects no analytics.
sorter loads no scripts or fonts from other parties. Everything comes from sorter.vectel.app itself.
What your browser remembers
sorter keeps a few settings in your browser's storage (localStorage), so they are the same next time: the card size, whether you dismissed the tip, and your choice of light or dark.
That data stays on your device. You clear it through your browser's settings.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, Vercel processes technical data to deliver the pages, such as your IP address and browser type. Your PDFs are not part of that: they never leave your browser.
